How to make a removable rear valance

This 'mod' is quite common as it lets you gain access to all the front of the engine meaning that it is easier to any maintenance work.


The first thing is to carefully drill all the spot weld out the old valance so it will come off. You will end up with something like this.

One of the bumper mounts were quite rusty so I decided to replace it, you may not have to if they aren’t too bad.

Once you have done this you can then rest the new valance on top to make sure it fits nice.

Then put a wing bolt and washers on the last two holes and weld them to the valance.
